Bond Accounting can be extremely time-consuming. You can concentrate your staff resources on meeting the needs of your customers while you allow Community Bankers' Bank to perform this activity for you. Once you provide Community Bankers' Bank with a copy of your most recent bond accounting report, we will set you up on our system and begin producing customized monthly reports delivered electronically to you. Community Bankers' Bank waives our portfolio accounting fees for the first three months while you are running our system parallel to your current system ensuring a seamless transition.

Community Bankers' Bank can safekeep your securities. We maintain possession and control of the securities you deposit with us as well as complete records. In addition, we:

  • Facilitate timely payment of any interest earned or any principal due as a result of maturity, redemption by call, or other debt retirement.
  • Settle trades

Community Bankers' Bank is approved to act as escrow agent for the securities required to be pledged to the Virginia Treasury Board under the Virginia Security for Public Deposits Act when a bank purchases public funds.

As an escrow agent, Community Bankers' Bank performs the following functions:

  • Record keeping
  • Holding securities
  • Monthly reporting to Virginia Treasury Board
  • Handling pledge changes
